Chaos Support is an independent provider of services to people aged 13-75 who have a learning disability or additional needs.

Led by Kerry Whapshott and Matthew Charters, the Chaos Day Opportunity service has been running since January 2013. Since then a range of other services have been added, including Buddying, a club for 13-19 year olds on Saturdays, School Holiday schemes and ‘Chaos Hotel’; an overnight and short break respite unit located within the Chaos building. In February 2017, the Hotel received a rating of 'Good' by CQC, the independent regulator of all health and social care in England.

In July 2016, we acquired a second day service in Cosham, Hampshire, which allows us to provide support to a greater number of individuals.

At Chaos, people are supported and encouraged to set and accomplish personal goals and challenge themselves, while a dedicated staff team ensure their health, well-being and safety.

Chaos was founded on the belief that young adults with a learning disability would benefit from being in a young, dynamic environment with their peer group.
— Kerry Whapshott, Director

Programmes and activities are designed to reflect the choice and wishes of each individual, incorporating life skills, independence, health and well-being, social activities, social enterprise and personal goals.

The Chaos staff team work hard with the young people, other professionals, families and supporters to develop a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s needs. People using our services can be assured that whatever support they need, whether it is complex health care, support with communication, personal care, developing independence, challenging behaviour or any other, their needs will be met.

All the young people at Chaos have a voice and are encouraged to tell us loud and clear what they expect from us. In return, we will support them all to fulfil their personal goals and aspirations.
