Creating Chaos is our registered charity (charity number 1176831), which works tirelessly to raise funds that go towards purchasing sensory and musical equipment, communication software, trips and days out for the people who use our service and anything else that will improve and enrich the support we are able to provide.
Creating Chaos is based at South Street in Havant. It not only acts as a great space for our performing arts programme to utilise for all their planning and costumes, but also serves to support the young people to learn employment and life skills through the running of the Boring to Beautiful upcycling shop. The shop sells a whole range of products created by the people who access Chaos day services, from upcycled furniture to artwork.
Boring to Beautiful
Upcycling is reusing old or unwanted items and turning them into something new with a bit of TLC and a fresh coat of paint. Through the upcycling sessions we run at both of our day services, we’ve amassed a collection of beautifully rejuvenated furniture and art pieces that are all for sale from our shop in Havant. Every penny made through Boring to Beautiful will go towards improving the service we are able to offer the individuals who come to Chaos. If you're looking for a new piece of furniture to brighten your home, or if you'd simply like to pop in for a cup of tea and a chat, please feel free to pop in!
The Random Acts of Kindness Team
As part of Creating CHAOS, the Random Acts of Kindness team does take part in fundraising, but with the ultimate goal of being kind and giving back to others. Through the Random Acts group, CHAOS service users have supported many different charities, people and causes. They have cooked and delivered hot meals to people in their local community, have collected much-needed essentials and sent them to an orphanage in Cambodia, have distributed water at the finish line of Race for Life, and so much more.
The Creating Chaos Monthly Lottery
The Creating Chaos Lottery is a great way to raise money to support the people who access Chaos services. Previously, the lottery has helped to pay for a holiday to Butlins for our day service, sensory equipment, communication software and laptops.
If you’re interested in getting involved, please get in touch. It costs £5 per month to secure a Creating Chaos lottery number, a direct debit of £5 per month can be set up or a cash payment can be brought into either one of our day services. Please ensure that all payments are made by the 20th of each month otherwise you may be missed out of the draw. The lottery number allocated to you will remain your number every month that you choose to play. The winning number is drawn at random every month, if your number is drawn, you will receive half the amount of money collected during that month as a prize. The other half of the money will go to Creating Chaos - our registered charity.
