We are currently recruiting to the following roles:

Chaos Support - Shift Leader - Hotel

Location: Havant 

Full Time permanent position - 37.5 Hours a week Monday - Friday (30 minute lunch break) and will be required to work every other Saturday.

Hours of work: Shift pattern - 3pm - 11pm, 9am - 5pm, 5pm - 11pm, 4pm - 10pm, 8am - 4pm(A rolling fortnightly Rota)

Rate of Pay: Starting from £10.00 per hour with a weekend enhancement.

Full training to be provided!

Chaos Support is an independent organisation based in Hampshire that supports individuals (16-75) with a learning disability to achieve their goals in a variety of ways. 

The Chaos staff team works hard with the people we support, other professionals, families and supporters to develop a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s needs. People using our service can be assured that whatever support they need, whether it is complex health care, support with communication or behavioural needs, personal care, developing independence, or any other, their needs will be met. 

Your Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

  • To contribute to the efficient running of the service

  • Support Service Users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community

  • Update and Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followed.

  • Be a point of contact for Support Workers informing you of any changes in the needs of Service Users 

  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

  • Creating the meal plan for the week and obtaining the ingredients required and adhering to the guidance in each Service Users Care Plans.

  • Be responsible for activity planning to develop our service users skills in Sensology, Gardening, Arts & Crafts and Sports (This list is not exhaustive) 

  • Arrange and complete staff Supervisions including Probation Reviews and ensure staff are all up to date with training and their competencies.

  • Manage the wellbeing of staff by completing Return to Works. 

  • Liaising with the Hotel Coordinator and Service Manager if any cover is required for shifts. 

  • Delegate tasks to be completed for evening and Night staff and deliver a handover meeting at the end of each shift. 

  • Manage and record mandatory Covid-19 testing.

  • Timekeeping and Attendance to be recorded. 

  • Liaise closely with the HR Manager to ensure staff records are up to date.

  • The ability to work both alone and as part of a team 

  • Leadership skills like decision-making, motivation and goal-setting

  • Highly enthusiastic and self motivated. 

  • The ability to keep up with changing standards and codes of conduct in the new social care sector. 

  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care - ( or if not a commitment to study for your NVQ/SVQ Level 3 once you’ve passed your Probation period).

  • Candidates with experience working in the care sector 

  • Great verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to create Care Plans

  • Exceptional organisation and time management abilities.

  • Conflict resolution skills

  • Creative flair

Desirable: 

  • Trained in Manual Handling (Moving and Positioning) 

  • Basic knowledge of Google Drive 

  • First Aid Training 

  • SCIP Training 

  • GCSE Grade C in Maths and English 

  • A high level of patience and emotional resilience.

  • PEG Trained

  • Diabetes and Insulin trained 

  • Medication and Emergency Medication trained

Mandatory requirement: 

Proof of double vaccination against COVID-19 - Evidence of NHS Covid Pass to be provided if successful in being invited for an Interview.
